Finally got my blog integrated on Facebook

Jun 11th, 20102 Comments

Today I’ve made a couple of adjustments to my facebook page making it possible for my readers to check out my blog posts directly on Facebook. They can also add the application to their profile so they get my latest posts directly in their private Facebook profile for them and their friends to read.

It took me about 6 hours from start trying all kinds of stuff, but finally I found out about to great plugins for wordpress that I’ve used for reaching my goal, and I would like to share them with you. The first plugin I installed was wpbook and this plugin enables users to add their self-hosted wordpress blog as a Facebook Application. Facebook users will see your posts in a Facebook look and feel, and can leave comments with their Facebook identity.

Another plugin I used to integrate Facebook Connect on my site was wp-facebookconnect. This plugin ads functionality to wordpress using the Facebook Connect API’s. I use this plugin to let Facebook users connect with their Facebook identity and comment my posts directly on the site. At the same time they get the option to share their comment on the wall.

You can checkout my posts and how they look on Facebook by joining my Facebook Page / Application and either click the Article title in the sidebar or click the blue ‘Go to Appplication’ button.
